Adding new participants creates a new conversation thread instead of altering the original chat. Personal settings and memory remain private for each user.

A Step Toward a Social Experience

The move marks another step toward transforming ChatGPT into a social platform rather than a single-user tool. The company says the launch is the first step toward a more collaborative environment.
