Rapid Growth in India’s Quick-Service Market
The rapid adoption of Pronto 10-minute home services reflects a major shift in India’s urban markets. Consumers now expect faster, more convenient solutions for daily needs. In just 90 days, New Delhi-based Pronto tripled its valuation from $12.5 million to $45 million.
This growth followed an $11 million Series A round co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital, with Bain Capital Ventures also participating. Pronto enables users to book cleaning, laundry, and other home services in only ten minutes. Since launching publicly three months ago, its revenue has grown nearly fivefold. Daily bookings are now in the four-digit range, with annual recurring revenue projected between $750,000 and $1.5 million.
Investor Confidence and Market Potential
Sardana, Pronto’s founder and CEO, credits the rapid funding cycle to momentum and the speed of scaling. She also noted strong investor trust in the team’s ability to execute.
Rahul Garg of General Catalyst emphasized Sardana’s leadership and vision. He also cited positive feedback from both customers and supply partners. The addressable market for Pronto 10-minute home services is vast. Industry estimates point to 180–190 million nuclear families and a semi-skilled workforce of 35 million. Together, they could represent a $35 billion wage pool.
Investors believe this space is large enough for multiple successful players. Competitors such as Snabbit and Urban Company already operate in the market, proving the demand exists.
Operational Expansion and Customer Segments
Pronto has grown from two hubs in Gurugram in May to six by August. Each hub covers a 1.5-mile service radius. Initially, 70% to 80% of demand came from within 500 meters of customers’ homes.
However, the company has now located hubs at key intersections. This change allows faster service to multiple smaller residential areas. Working professionals in high-density neighborhoods form the bulk of the customer base. At present, the platform operates with 33 employees and around 750 service workers.
Future Growth Plans
Over the next 12–18 months, Pronto plans to expand into Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other major Indian cities. The strategy is to replicate its Gurugram model in other urban centers with concentrated demand for household services.
By combining localized hubs, quick delivery, and a skilled workforce, Pronto 10-minute home services is positioned to strengthen its role in India’s quick-service economy. The blend of consumer expectations, investor support, and operational efficiency gives the startup a solid base for growth.
